A power outage knocked out electricity to roughly 6,000 Chelan County PUD customers Monday in the Moniter, Cashmere, Dryden and Peshastin areas.

Senior Communications Strategist Rachel Hansen said the outage happened around 11:00 am and affected their Cashmere, Peshastin and Mission Street substations.

"We have safely isolated a section of line and re-routed power through other lines to make sure that all customers' power is restored while our linemen are safely working on the issue and fixing the equipment," Hansen said.

Power was restored by about 2:20 pm.
