Quincy School District has decided to delay students' return to in-person learning due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Grant County and a forecast of higher numbers in the near future.

The district's original plan was to offer families with 4th and 5th grade students an in-person learning option on December 1st. Quincy's 4th and 5th grade delay will not affect the kindergarten through 3rd grade students or the 6th-12th grade students who are currently learning in-person.

The district will reassess its transition plan after the holidays in early January to establish a tentative date for offering in-person instruction for the rest of its elementary students. The hope is QSD can eventually phase in its 6th through 12th grade students on February 1st.
