Washington State Patrol is asking drivers to be cautious after two drunk driving suspects hit poles next to the State Patrol office in Moses Lake.

Trooper John Bryant says road construction near the building may have confused the suspects, who both hit poles between 1:30-and-2:00 am recently.

"They were both arrested for DUI," said Bryant. "We're so happy they didn't drive through the building!"

The roadway in front of the office has been turned into a one-way street while a Love's Travel Stop is being built close by.

A Grant County PUD pole had to be replaced, while a flag pole next to the State Patrol building front door is bent from where a driver hit it.

The road in front of the Moses Lake State Patrol office becomes a on ramp to I-90, which also runs directly in front of the building.

Drivers encounter construction barriers that require them to either enter the highway, or turn onto a side street that has an entrance to the State Patrol office where the power pole was hit.

The driver who hit the flag pole actually drove through the parking lot and came to a rest next to the building itself.
