Troopers are looking for the driver of a car in a Moses Lake hit and run crash that left at least two people injured.

They say a car with an unknown driver rear ended an SUV carrying five people stopped at a red light in the left-hand turn lane on State Route 17.

Two people in the SUV were taken to Samaritan Hospital with injuries while a third was driven there for precautionary reasons.

Troopers have not found the driver of the hit and run car that was later found abandoned in Moses Lake.

The crash took place just north of I-90 shortly before 6:30 Wednesday evening.

The SUV was attempting to turn left onto Kittleson Rd. when the crash occurred.

The two people injured were 20-year-old Betsu Montes and 57-year-old Rafael Montessandoval,

A 19-year-old whose name has been withheld was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

The driver of the SUV, 24-year-old Amelia Montes, along with 57-year-old passenger Modesta Montes, were not injured.

It's not known if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.

Montes was driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The unknown hit and run driver was in a 2014 Cadillac ATS. Both vehicles were damaged.
