Eastmont and Wenatchee School Districts are getting the word out about their response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In seperate press releases, both districts say their nurses and staff follow health care expert guidance and practice recommendations and their custodial staff has been instructed to use antiviral cleaners to sanitize door knobs, sinks, toilets, and other school surfaces.

Eastmont says if schools are closed, they will attempt to offer modified instructional programs through independent study, on-line, and other means.

The districts are asking parents to go to the Chelan-Douglas Health District at cdhd.wa.gov or the Washington Department of Health at doh.wa.gov for further questions regarding the coronavirus.

Both districts will post updates on their websites regarding any school closures or changes.
