12th District Senator Brad Hawkins Named Legislator of Year by Tow Association

The Towing and Recovery Association of Washington named 12th District State Senator Brad Hawkins Legislator of the Year.

"I am very grateful that the Towing Association has recognized me as their Legislator of the Year.

The honor came about because Hawkins sponsored a bill to help tow-truck operators get paid for keeping roadways clear.

Tow-truck operators sometimes get stuck with the bill if drivers or insurance companies don’t pay them.

"We did important work on my Senate bill 5406 last session and I think this next session we can get that bill across the finish line."

The legislation passed in the Senate but stalled in the House in 2021.
