The Cascade School Board has scheduled a public hearing for the surplus and sale of property at 225 Central Avenue, including the lots at the former Osborn Elementary School. The hearing is on February 24 at 5:30 before the regular school board meeting.

"The purpose of the public hearing is to listen to the community as the community gives evidence for and against the proprietary and advisability of the proposed sale," said Tracey Beckendorf-Edou, superintendent.

The public hearing's focus will not be on how the property should be used once it's sold, but rather whether or not the property should be sold.

"We're hoping to have a lot of people attend the public hearing, that would be fantastic," said Beckendorf-Edou.
