Columbia Fruit Packers is now working with the Chelan-Douglas Health District after 31 employees at its packing facility in East Wenatchee tested positive for coronavirus since June 25th.

According to a press release by Columbia Fruit, the company was made aware by Monday, June 29th that three employees had tested positive for coronavirus. 12 additional employees soon after tested positive.

Columbia Fruit then had all 93 remaining employees at its East Wenatchee facility tested last Thursday. The results came back Sunday afternoon, with a further 16 testing positive, bringing the total number of cases over the 11-day span to 31.

Co-owner Mike Wade said, "We will monitor the well-being of those in isolation and will allow individuals to return to work after a 10-day isolation period and if they don't have any further virus symptoms."
