The fire crew battling the Lower Coyote Creek Fire anticipates full containment by the end of their shift Saturday.

On Friday crews utilized 6,000 feet of hose along the northern half of the fire to conduct mop-up operations.

The Incident Management Team working with the Palm IR, or infrared scanning, units are also conducting one last gridding of the fires edge to search for hot spots.

Command of the fire will be transferred to the Colville Administration at 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

The fire burned nearly 2,582 acres just outside of Nespelem.
