Douglas County's unemployment rate in May was more than a full point below than what it was in April according to data supplied by the Employment Security Department.

Numbers released Tuesday show Douglas County with 5.1% unemployment while Chelan County had 5.3%.

Both are significant drops from the month of April.

The state's unemployment rate was 5.3%.

The best numbers in Washington belong to Asotin County, while the worst are in Pacific County.
