Last week the East Wenatchee City Council interviewed three applicants for their open council position.

Mayor Jerrilea Crawford told KPQ earlier this year that the hope is to have the new member in place by March 3rd.

"I think the must successful candidate will be someone who is already engaged in the community and is looking for ways to give back." Crawford said, "It's a great opportunity to be passionate about something, bring it forward, and make a difference."

The three applicants are Dennis Hendricks, Sasha Sleiman, and Lacy Stockton.

"It's really a satisfying role to play in the community. They can make a big difference." Crawford added, "So I'm excited to welcome someone up to council and get them engaged."

The new member's term will run two years.
