The Grant County Health District reported Monday seven additional confirmed COVID-19 associated deaths of Grant County residents.

According to the health district two of the deaths, a woman in her 70's and a man in his 80's, were associated with the November outbreak at Lake Ridge Center in Moses Lake. Both residents had underlying conditions that put them at a higher risk for severe complications from COVID infection.

The Lake Ridge outbreak has now resulted in the deaths of 20 people.

The health district also reported five deaths not associated with a long-term care facility. The victims were three Moses Lake men, one in his 60's and two in their 70's, a Soap Lake man in his 60's, and a Coulee City woman in her 70's. All five residents also had underlying conditions that put them at a higher risk for COVID-19 complications.

The passings bring the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Grant County to 98.
