Grant County has lost two more residents to COVID-19.

According to the Grant County Health District Wednesday, the first case was a Quincy man in his 80's who died while being hospitalized. The resident had underlying conditions that put him at a higher risk for severe complications. The second victim was a Quincy man in his 30's who had no known underlying conditions and died while being hospitalized.

The passings bring Grant County's total COVID-19 related deaths to 17.

The district is also reporting that Royal City School District, which started the year in a hybrid learning model, is investigating and contact tracing five COVID cases among one staff member and four students.
