Our Valley Our Future (OVOF) and Washington State University Center for Innovation partnered up to conduct a survey with the goal of gathering an inventory of regional research. Local businesses and organizations engaged in regional research and innovation are encouraged to participate in the survey, which will remain live for a month.

"The idea behind the survey and ultimately creating an inventory is to get a better sense of what's happening, to what depth, what industries and then to take some of that information..connect people that are involved with research and innovation with each other because there's great benefit with that generally," said Steve Maher, OVOF coordinator.

The partnership stemmed from the goal of developing research inventory on behalf of The Bridge Research and Innovation District, however answers will be tabulated cumulatively to protect respondents' anonymity. According to Maher, there is confidentiality surrounding what kind of research businesses and organizations are doing.

"We know The Bridge Research and Innovation District and Our Valley Our Future have been looking at this issue for a couple of years," said Maher. "We know there's a lot of research taking place in this community and has been for decades."
