Republicans in the State Senate are speaking out against Governor Inslee's restrictions for gyms, fitness centers and youth sports.

Moses Lake's Judy Warnick says less than one percent of confirmed cases have originated in the fitness sector.

"Closing down our activities that are good for people's physical and emotional well-being just doesn't align with the data of where people are contracting COVID. It's not from the fitness centers."

She adds that it is important to protect people from the virus, but they need to have a way to maintain their health.

Senate Republicans sent a letter to the Governor asking him to relax the restrictions.
