Grant County PUD is warning its customers about a scam
The PUD says customers have reported receiving calls lately from a fake Grant PUD caller I.D.
The people on the other end are threatening to cut service if they don’t receive payment immediately.
Quincy High School says they are not soliciting for advertising on their sports posters and that any person who receives the call should hang up.
In a Facebook post, the school says someone is making these calls claiming to be from QHS asking for money to renew ads on the posters
The Chelan County Sheriff's Office is warning residents that another phone scam has started to hit the region.
This one works when a person receives a call from someone claiming to be from the Cashmere Valley Bank fraud department.
They then claim that your account has been compromised and that there has been a charge in China
The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of a scam that has hit the area.
Someone is calling and identifying themselves as Sheriff Tony Hawley and requesting donations.
On a Facebook post warning of the scam, the Sheriff's Office says that Hawley is not calling to request money via gift cards
