Visit Chelan County

Lodging tax dollars are collected by local hotels and lodging establishments.

The county has hired a travel and tourism marketing company to study the strengths, needs and gaps in the county's tourism industry.

It's called Chelan County Living, which includes sections focused on outdoor recreation, local wildlife and wildfires among other things.

The meeting Wednesday morning will bring together the tourism directors of Wenatchee, Chelan County, and the State of Washington.

The survey from the group Visit Chelan County is part of an effort to maintain and develop responsible tourism in the county.

The awards come at the recommendation of the Chelan County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee which reviewed this year’s applications and interviewed some of the finalists.
