Washington is reopening tomorrow and the State Department of Health says it's important workplaces are prepared if they are just returning.

DOH says that fully vaccinated workers do not need to wear a mask or practice physical distancing, but can do so if they choose to.

Workers that are not fully vaccinated will still be required to wear a mask and distance.

Employers can mandate the wearing of masks regardless of vaccination status, but if they ease requirements they will need to collect proof of vaccination.

Masks are still required in some settings. This includes health care settings, correctional facilities, homeless shelters, schools and public transportation.

People who work in these settings still need to wear a mask, even if they are fully vaccinated.

DOH says, "The above rules are state minimums. Local health departments may have different rules for masking and physical distancing. Employers should check with their local health departments to ensure compliance with all local requirements."
