The Washington State Department of Health says their data collection software was overwhelmed, and wasn't set up to handle negatives tests, in recent days so they were unable to provide an update on the number of COVID-19 cases.

They did release new data as of the end of Tuesday to indicate the state has 5,984 confirmed positive cases with nearly 247 deaths.

Eight percent of the people who have been tested were found to be positive.

The Chelan-Douglas Health District says there are 24 cases in the two county area with 18 of them in Chelan County.

There 73 confirmed cases in Grant County.
