Wenatchee Closing Some Park Amenities in Coronavirus Fight

Many park amenities throughout Wenatchee will be closed starting Thursday after the recommendation of the city insurance provider.

According to a press release by the Wenatchee Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, the following park amenities will be closed to use for the near future:

• Play equipment at Rotary, Kiwanis-Methow, Chase, Pennsylvania, Pioneer, and Washington parks
• Basketball courts at Rotary and Kiwanis-Methow parks
• Picnic Areas in Rotary, Lincoln, Pioneer and Washington parks, and
• The soccer field at Kiwanis-Methow Park

Park restrooms and individual picnic tables will continue to be open and sanitized daily.
