Wenatchee High School is holding their annual "Pathways to Success" event Monday for incoming 9th graders and their families from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

District Communications Director Diana Haglund says the goal is to help equip families to make the best choice between Wenatchee High, Westside and the Technical Skills Center.

"Principals and staff from those buildings are going to talk about what those schools have to offer, what the learning environment looks like so that parents have a deeper understanding of what those pathways are. They'll also touch on graduation requirements and how students navigate that path."

The presentations will be done in both Spanish and English with one in the commons and the other in the auditorium.

Haglund they want to students to succeed and that can be achieved by providing the families with information on all of the different pathways that are available.

"We do have a lot of really great options for students and finding that best fit for the student to be successful is really important to our district. An event like this really helps provide that information and allows the start of a conversation for students and parents to have about what their next step is going to be."

Haglund says they've been doing the event for several years.
