The Wenatchee School District is hosting a college credit information night Tuesday for any students that are wanting to know more about options to earn college credits while in high school.

Communications Director Diana Haglund says their goal is to equip parents and students with the best information.

"There's lots of different ways that students can earn college credit while in high school whether that be; advanced placement, college in the classroom, career and technical education dual credit, and running start. This is a really great way for everybody to get the information about these powerful programs and how students can start taking advantage of those in high school."

The event is available in both Spanish in the library, and in English in the commons.

Haglund says this information is a critical resource for parents.

"Especially with the cost of post-secondary education being high, it's a great opportunity for kids to get their feet wet and also start earning those credits while they're in high school so that when they do get ready to move on to college, they may already have as many as 15 credits under their belt."

Wenatchee School District's "College Credit Now" informational event takes place Tuesday, February 11th from 6-7 p.m.
