Wenatchee School District is holding a summer meal program now through August 7th at Lincoln Elementary on Methow Street.

Communications Director Diana Haglund said youth 18 and under can show up Monday through Thursday 11:00 am to 12:30 pm to receive a prepackaged combination of breakfast and lunch. Thursdays' meals are doubled to get students through Friday as well.

Haglund said, "We also partner with our friends at Small Miracles, a local non-profit. In addition to what we provide at Lincoln (Elementary), they work with local parks. They set up locations for no-cost meals."

Small Miracles has collection sites throughout Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere and Rock Island. More information can be found here.

The summer meal program will transition right into fall meal service, which the district hopes will look a lot like traditional meal service as they move back to in-person instruction.
