Wenatchee School District to Begin Offering Summer Meal Program in Late June

Free breakfast and lunch will again be offered for those 18 and under at Lincoln and Washington Elementary Schools through the Wenatchee School District's summer meals program.

Communications Director Diana Haglund said grab-and-go meals will be made available Monday through Thursday 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, with two days of meals being served Thursdays to ensure kids have food for Fridays.

"In addition to what we're offering through the district, we've continued our partnership through the local non-profit Small Miracles to ensure that meals are available at community parks at various locations around Wenatchee, Cashmere, Rock Island and East Wenatchee," explained Haglund.

The district's program will run June 28th through July 29th.

Small Miracles will provide no-cost meals from 11:00 am to 12:00 am Monday through Thursday, starting June 28 through August 5.
