Wind is being blamed on a large fire that threatened a home Monday afternoon near Nespelem in Okanagan County.

KPQ news partner i FIBER ONE reports information from the Mt. Tolman Fire Center shows the fire started when winds knocked a tree into a power line.

The fire reportedly grew to 30 acres because of heavy wind, although fire crews reported it was partially contained.

It was located on Colville Tribal land about two miles north of Nespelem.
