Bidding on the Wenatchee Federal Building closes Wednesday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. Chad Hutson, GSA Public Affairs Region 10 Officer, says that's when they will review the winning bid.

"GSA will issue a letter to the high bidder. That bidder has 10 days to bring the bid deposit up to 10 percent of the purchase price. Upon receipt of that 10 percent GSA can schedule a closing within 60 days."

Hutson noted that it is possible that they could extend the bidding window if any bids are received within the final 24 hours of the deadline. Hutson did note there is no guarantee that the winning bid will get the building however and if they don't get the right bid, they have options.

"One would be to pull the building back, one would be to contact the bidders, so there's a lot of different scenarios if we don't get what we think the building is worth."

Currently there are two bidders and three bids on the building which sits at $1.03 million.
