Less than a day after Chelan and Douglas County were approved to move to a modified version of Phase 1 of the Governor's Safe Start plan, the Chelan-Douglas Health District is reporting five new positive coronavirus cases at an agricultural congregate housing facility in Chelan Falls.

All members of the congregate housing unit were tested after some initial positives. The five farmworkers are currently in isolation.

Both Governor Jay Inslee and Secretary of Health John Wiesman expressed concerns Wednesday regarding whether Central Washington counties had adequate protections and testing for agricultural workers.
