Governor Jay Inslee announced Monday that all school employees will now be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time.

Educators were previously separated in 1B tiers 2 through 4, and now all school staff will be considered phase 1B2. The move allows district providers the ability to now put on a vaccination clinic for school staff in general, without needing to discriminate by age.

The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction is urging health districts around the state to work in partnership with their local vaccine providers on ways to expedite the process for school staff.
