The Chelan Douglas Health District reported Monday that Christopher House in Wenatchee has experienced an outbreak of at least 20 positive COVID-19 cases.

Director of Health Communications Veronica Farias said CDHD was notified of two positive cases November 4th, and after testing the remaining staff and residents the next day, an additional 18 cases came back positive Saturday.

Not all results have been received yet and more positives are possible. As a congregate housing facility, Christopher House is required to continue to do testing until there have been no positives for at least 14 days.

Farias said, "We are assessing their personal protective equipment supplies and assisting with additional test kits."

All staff members who tested positive are isolating at home, while positive residents are in isolation. Any exposed residents who have not tested negative are in quarantine.
