Big Bend Community College Students Must be Fully Vaccinated to Attend In-person Winter Classes

Students who will be physically accessing the Big Bend Community College campus or instructional sites will be required to be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption for winter quarter.

In a statement, President Dr. Sara Thompson Tweedy said, "Exposure to COVID-10 results in unsafe working, learning, and living conditions that negatively impact students' learning experiences."

Students seeking an exemption will need to get their request in by December 6th. A student must attest to their vaccination status or have an approved exemption by December 16th. Completely online students are not required to be vaccinated.

Winter classes begin January 3rd.
