Chelan County commissioners recently received proposed short term rental regulations after the short term rental task force completed its meetings and the commissioners will now study the proposed regulations in depth.

Commissioners will weigh whether or not to adopt the regulations in its entirety, in select pieces or potentially change aspects of the proposed regulations. Community development staff, alongside Burke Consulting, constructed proposed regulations based on the task force's recommendations.

"I know that there are probably going to be people that disagree with what the task force has created," said Commissioner Tiffany Gering. "I don't think everyone is going to be happy with an issue that is this controversial. But we're thrilled with the work that the task force was able to do."

There will be a time for a public hearing at a later date once commissioners have sifted through the proposed recommendations. For specifics on the proposed regulations, visit here.
