Chelan County Sheriff Asks Governor to Permit Move to Phase 2
Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett has sent a letter to the Governor's office in conjunction with a request from the county commissioners asking that they be permitted to move to Phase 2 of the re-opening process.
Sheriff Burnett cites lack of total positive tests and that there is currently only two patients in the hospital with COVID-19.
He says that the people of North Central Washington know what's best for the region and that the knowledge and competence of the citizens can help restart the economy in a safe manner.
Chelan County was not one of the 10 listed by the Governor on Friday as eligible to move to Phase 2.
