Drivers using a large portion of US 97 through Chelan County will likely experience delays next week as a contractor for WSDOT repairs chipseal between Blewett Pass and the Don Senn Memorial Interchange, also known as the Big Y.

Communications Manager Lauren Loebsack said the work will repair sections of the wheelrut chipseal project that did not set up properly due to this year's extreme heat in the late spring.

"The work is weather dependent." explained Loeback, "We're hoping that's it's three days but right now we have it scheduled for four, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm."

Travelers can expect flaggers with a pilot car and delays of up to 20 minutes.
