Dawe Appears to be Winner in Tight Eastmont School District Race

The race for the district 4 At Large seat on the Easmont School Board is effectively over.

Joy Dawe leads John "Stew" Steward by 102 votes while there are only 60 ballots left to be counted in Douglas County, according to the Secretary of State's office.

The election is set to be certified on November 23.

Steward had led the race in the first voting results released last week.

Dawe's current lead in voting is 3,742-3,640 for a margin of 50.54%-49.16%, which appears to be insurmountable.
