Developing Sinkhole Causing Lane Closures in East Wenatchee

A sinkhole in East Wenatchee is indefinitely impacting traffic on two major arterials.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, a sinkhole has forced the closure of the right lane of SR 28 just north of the intersection of Grant Road by Fred Meyer in East Wenatchee. The sinkhole itself is in the far right lane of eastbound Grant Road next to Wendy's and Hobby Lobby.

Crews will be out working at the location to determine the next steps in the process. As of Wednesday, the sinkhole was said to be roughly two feet by two feet.
