The Douglas County Commissioners have announced an emergency declaration in response to the COVID-19 situation and also have placed public access restrictions on all Douglas County facilities, effective Thursday.

"This emergency declaration will essentially allow us commissioners to act more quickly if the emergency were to increase in severity or if conditions were to change very quickly," said Jordyn Giulio, Risk Manager

The declaration will also ensure the county is open to all funding opportunities should they become available in the aftermath and it would also ensure that all of the entities within the county are eligible for those same resources.
