The Columbia River Drug Task Force conducted an investigation Wednesday afternoon that eventually required the use of SWAT.

The investigation occurred in the 4000 block of Highway 97, south of the Big Y

Chelan County Chief Jason Reinfeld said the task force developed drug-related probable cause for a search warrant on a residence.

"While that was being worked on, they made an arrest on one of the occupants of the residence." Reinfeld stated, "However, they still had a search warrant to serve at the location. It was determined it was high risk, so the Chelan County Regional SWAT Team was used to serve that search warrant."

The warrant was successfully served with no injuries. Further action from the task force is expected.
