With even more fresh snow on the ground in the higher elevations, opportunities for snow play seem to increase daily.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Public Affairs Officer Robin DeMario said snowmobilers will be glad to hear that grooming has begun from Twenty-five Mile Creek going towards the Entiat Valley.

"It's taken a while to get that going as there were so many trees that came down during that snow storm a couple weeks ago." DeMario explained, "Snow rangers have been busy cutting out downed trees since that storm occurred."

Snowmobilers are asked to slow down while they are in the forest as there could be a downed tree just out of sight around the next corner.

DeMario added that snowshoers are asked to please stay off of the groomed trails not just at places like Echo Ridge Nordic Ski Area, but anywhere where there are groomed trails.
