Health District Expanding Testing Dates As COVID Cases Surge

The Chelan Douglas Health District announced Wednesday that it has added free drive-thru COVID-19 testing dates to those already planned for November. The drive-thru dates are being added to ease demand, as local hospitals are reporting increases in the amount of people seeking testing.

Testing will be done at Wenatchee High School from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm November 20th through 22nd, 25th, and 27th through 30th. Cashmere High School will host testing 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm November 19th and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm November 20th.

Additional testing is planned for mid-to-late December, and more dates may be tacked on to the schedule.

Wednesday, the Health District reported a rate of 632.5 cases per 100,000 people over the previous 14 days.
