Governor Jay Inslee announced Thursday the Shot of a Lifetime giveaway series as well as several other incentive programs to drive up the state's COVID-19 vaccination numbers.

Inslee said that, starting next week, four weekly prizes of $250,000 each will be offered, with a $1 million prize in the 5th week.

"It includes 300 Xboxs from Microsoft, airline tickets from Alaska Airlines, 40 Echo Dots from Amazon and prizes from Nintendo and Google," stated Inslee.

The giveaways begin June 8th and will use Washington Lottery's random number generating system.

Also included in the raffle: tickets to the Mariners, Seahawks, Kraken, Storm, Sounders and OL Reign, 80 gift cards for one week of camping, 80 fishing and hunting license gift certificates worth $100 each, 400 Discovery Passes and various gift cards. Inslee also expects additional items and benefits.

On top of those benefits, the State Department of Health will use $500,000 in gift cards to incentivize people to visit mobile vaccination clinics.

Everyone who has received the vaccine previously or before the drawing will be eligible, depending on age restrictions.

Also included in the state's COVID-19 vaccine incentive package are several opportunities for students.

The state is providing $1 million to public 4-year universities and 2-year community and technical colleges so they can hold their own tuition-related drawings for vaccinated students.

Inslee said, "The state will also be offering 30 prizes of one year of tuition college credits to 12 and 17-year-olds through the Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) program."

Neither adults nor children need to enter any of the drawings. The state will use the information collected from each person during their vaccination.
