Governor Jay Inslee is moving up the end to the statewide indoor mask mandates to March 12th.

Inslee cites new CDC guidance and continued decreases in hospitalization rates as reasons for the move. The same end date was announced for Oregon and California Monday.

The state will still require masking for healthcare, corrections, dental and long term care facilities. A federal requirement for masks on public transportation is also still in place without an end date.

Inslee will address the media at 1:00 pm today on the subject.
