Governor Inslee expanded the statewide moratorium on evictions last week to June 4th.

According to the Governor's proclamation, the moratorium applies to tenants, those in transitional housing, hotels or motels, lots or parcels where mobile homeowners rent their land, and people who leases are expiring among others categories. Commercial tenants are also included in the governor's proclamation.

Renters cannot be charged late fees and rent or deposit increases during the moratorium, and it prevents tenants from being subject to debt collection for unpaid housing costs.

The State Attorney General’s Office is enforcing the eviction moratorium.
