Washington State now has three more gun laws on the books after a bill signing Wednesday by Governor Jay Inslee.

The bills reduce magazine capacity, require serial numbers on all gun parts and restrict firearms at school board meetings and some other government settings.

"I am proud of our state to be a state that's willing to take the lead to stand up against the (National Rifle Association), to stand up for common sense gun safety legislation," Inslee said.

Inslee added that 780 Washingtonians die each year from guns and gun violence is the leading cause of death among young people in the state. He said he expects his opposition to challenge the constitutionality of the laws in the courts.
