Wenatchee School Board member Laura Jaecks was selected as Board President during their most recent meeting.

Jaecks said that her biggest goals are to fill the two vacant positions on the board and to develop a strategic plan.

"I have some personal goals that I want to work on." Jaecks explained, "Early learning very is important to me. Meaningful diplomas and diverse pathways towards post-high school are also very important issues to me."

Martin Barron was also selected as Vice President.

Jaecks added that she's been impressed with him ever since he was first interviewed by the board last year, saying he seemed like a very knowledgeable person with expertise that will lend itself well with the work the board has before it.
