The Walk MS: Wenatchee fundraiser is coming up later this spring, April 18th, but registration is open to those who want to take the steps to end Multiple Sclerosis. Participants have two route options, 1 mile and 3 mile routes.

"Over the years, I've had the pleasure of meeting people in the Valley that unfortunately do have this disease," said Candi Johnson, Team Leader. "There are more in the area than we realize that do have it."

Johnson explained MS affects the brain and the spinal cord and causes symptoms such as leg cramps and optic neuritis.

"There is no cure at the moment and that's why we do this event every year," said Johnson.

Folks can register here. The race starts at 1, but the site opens at noon at the Walla Walla Point Park shelter No. 2.
