Despite currently trailing Jay Inslee by roughly 18% of the vote as of Wednesday, gubernatorial candidate Loren Culp announced during a Facebook live Wednesday that he will not be conceding the election at this point.

Culp question how many mail-in ballots are still in the mail and need to be counted.

"We are not conceding." said Culp, "There are some irregularities in the voting, in the tabulation. My team is looking into that. We're diving deep into the numbers. Some things are not adding up and so we're looking into that. We're not conceding anything."

Culp did not provide any further details or specifics as to the irregularities he cited.

Governor Inslee was asked about the issue during a press conference Wednesday, and says he has seen no evidence of irregularities.

"Don't be making assertions where you have absolutely no basis to make them. Just don't do that, nobody should do that. Police officers, or judges, or butchers, bakers, or candlestick makers, it's dangerous." said Inslee, "It diminishes the credibility of the democratic system, and it is a serious issue. We don't need that right now. We need patience and confidence in each other."

According to the Secretary of State's office, as of Wednesday afternoon Inslee leads Culp by 623,738 votes, with just under an estimated 500,000 ballots on hand yet to be counted.
