The Grant County Sheriff's Office warned residents to stay out of the 4000 block of North Paxson Drive Monday.

PIO Kyle Foreman said Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team and additional law enforcement were called in after an unidentified man barricaded himself inside a home following a domestic dispute.

"It took about three and a half hours for officers to coax him out of the home." explained Foreman, "During that time we did notify the nearby schools that the incident was going on and they did some protective measures for those facilities."

Foreman added that law enforcement used flash bangs and other devices in order to prompt him to leave the home, which he finally did without incident.

The suspect was taken into custody without injury. He was booked into Grant County Jail.

Charges have yet to be filed, but will include domestic violence as well as charges stemming from an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
