Congressman Dan Newhouse spoke Thursday about how he and his wife spent the last couple weeks of November when they were isolating at home with COVID-19.

Newhouse tested positive for the virus November 17th.

The 4th District Representative said he had a fairly strong case of the virus.

"The two things that hit me the hardest was a fever and fatigue. Just a total lack of energy." said Newhouse, "The worst flu I've ever had. It made me as sick as I've been in a long time."

The Sunnyside Republican added that the virus is serious and not something to be scoffed at or minimized. He said that both he and his wife were pretty religious about following all the CDC guidelines, including hand washing and masking up, and that although those measures are not 100% effective, it's much better to practice those measures than not.
