North Central Accountable Community of Health and Washington State University launched a survey to gauge community opinion on local healthcare. The entities will apply the feedback to strengthen telehealth options and improve accessibility.

"Last year when COVID hit, many of our healthcare organizations rolled out telehealth options," said Wendy Brzezny, Whole Person Care collaborative manager. "Over time, it was recognized that several individuals like the telehealth option, however there continued to be barriers for individuals to receive that option."

NCACH has the goal to enhance telehealth accessibility in the region, such as privacy concerns and technology difficulties. The organization researched options to facilitate the telehealth related challenges that crop up.

"Some ideas rose to the top, including putting kiosks or telecarts within the community so that individuals could go to that space to access their appointments," said Brzezny.
