Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a house fire near Twisp overnight Wednesday morning.

Okanogan County Fire District 6 reports people living in an adjacent home were awoken by barking dogs to a fire across a driveway at the property's main house on Buttermilk Lane.

Several engines arrived after tones went off at 3:39am and firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading beyond the home's second floor.

The house was damaged, but there were no injuries.
